Sports Start-up program by Saitama city government

Today Saitama prefecture's government  hold "Kick off "seminar at Omiya.

Saitama has 3 professional sports teams.

  Urawa reds :Soccer 

  Seibu Lions:Baseball 

  Omiya Ardija :Soccer 

Saitama prefecture government is going to offer USD30,000 to the winning startup of this program.

Start-ups who are under 30 years old can apply this program.

Seminar starts at 6:30 pm.

First speaker is a chairman of J-League Soccer.

He spoke about the history of J-League and their challenges.

J-League is always aggressively welcoming startups ideas to enhance the leagues attractiveness and also energize local communities.

Talk session "Sports & Local city revitalization ".

Mr.Mano is one of the guest.

 Nowadays more local governments have no money to spend sports venues.

 New sports venue are going to build soon.

    Hachinohe city &Zebio : Indoor Arena 

    Nagasaki private company "Jpa-net Takata":Soccer stadium 

    That company will buy land by their own money and build venue.

   It means they can do anything they want as business.

  It will be a great challenge to get success as sports business.

Their stadium is at Tokorozawa city, 90 minutes from Tokyo station.

So their business model should be different,compare to other baseball teams who have stadiums in a big cities.
